Ghost Moose Origins?

When my friend Shaelah started her blog, ghostmoose, I was at once intrigued and frightened by the name. The only logical thing I could conclude was that she was, at some point in her sordid past, haunted by the ghost of a moose. This is how I imagine it began... on a dark and stormy night.
The blog has comics, you should check it out. Link on the side bar.

Seattle! ECCC

Went to Seattle last weekend for Emerald City Comic Con and had an awesome time. Had a great time meeting some very cool artists and got around to see a bit of the city. Went up the Space Needle and went to Seattle Art Museum. Here's proof!
On the train at 6 in the morning. Erin starting to wake up with her morning coffee.

A cool exhibit at SAM, a car exploding! Or is it?
Views from the needle. We could see our hotel! I circled it so you could see it too.
I've got lots of comics to read, so I better get to it.

Whistler!

Magnificent. Those two boarders over there are the people that drove me. We had a great time snowboarding in Whistler last weekend. Conditions were great and the weather was superb. A beautiful day to throw yourself down a mountain strapped to a slab of wood. Makes me wonder what I am doing here... sitting on my computer... sigh.
Next weekend: Seattle!

Germany! pt. 1

Here is the first of 400 pictures that will be whittled down to... a few.
Part 1
The London Heathrow Airport! Featuring a small child.Graffiti on a construction wall around a church. Atlas is holding up the world in the background.
Group photo! This was our trip to Potsdam and the Sans Souci. Marvelously huge park. And former summer home of King... an old King of Prussia. You know... that one.

Panorama of the fountain and garden steps up to the main building.

I think we were saving our energy for getting through the whole park so I took this picture from afar.

Awesome lighting reference picture.
Beautiful pond reflection.

I remember now! We didn't make it all the way up to this building. We were too tired to go up those stairs.
I believe this is a windmill.
More to come!

Pictures!

Testing out my camera before I take it off to Berlin. I took a bike ride around False Creek in the nice fall weather and snapped some shots. This is the creek, we're looking at the Cambie St bridge out yonder.
Cool panorama function stitches this together for you.
Add ImageThe island that Vancouver made in False Creek. Weird and odd? Yes.Didn't notice those boys in the shot until I went about cropping all these. I really like this one.
My lovely bike Phillipe. Named after the horse in Beauty and the Beast!

Some sketches

Just making sure I still know how to use this thing. I haven't forgotten about you blog! I'm still here. 10 points if you know who this is. Another 5 bonus points if you know which show this is from.

Here's a screenshot from Glee and the coloured sketch I drew based on it. That was a good episode. Good costumes and poses to draw from. You may see more of that on here. Now that I've revealed my inspirations I'm going to go out and enjoy the sun.

Sewer Story Page 1

More comics! Hooray! Page two is in the works, so be assured something is going to happen. I just don't know what yet.

Its olympic fever out here in Vancouver. Erin and I have decided to embrace it and will be heading downtown today to watch the hockey final. Go Canada!

Horrible blogger

Greetings again! It's true. I'm a horrible blogger. I have a little preview of something I started last week. Hopefully I will colour it and continue the story at least a couple pages.

It is based on "me" so you may recognize the girl with the umbrella. Cross your fingers for updates twice a month. Here's to the new year!

New Ceiling Comic

A mere two months later... another comic! This one was a struggle indeed.
This has happened to both of us many times and often followed by an expletive. Living with my sister has been good. This past Friday night we went to the Rio Theater for the midnight movies and saw The Breakfast Club followed by Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Good times. All my staying up late finally paid off! I didn't nod off during the second movie like a certain someone.
I hope you all are enjoying winter! I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.

Another Rainy Day Comic

Its been a while. Thanks for returning! All four of you! Here's a comic based on true events. Erin and I were walking in the rain, neither of us with an umbrella, talking about how it would make a good comic. Both of us know better. And it did make a good comic.

Two years. I've lived in Vancouver for two years now.

Clean dishes comic

Its been a while. I guess when I said I'd have a new comic soon I meant in a couple weeks. I'm living in the new place now! It is nice and cozy here. Add the heat wave and the top floor and you have a sauna. Its cooled down a little now, but its still to hot for me. Here's the comic. And the real thing.
I am excited to use it!

Glasses? Comic

It wasn't until after I had done a couple strips when I realized we weren't wearing glasses. It wasn't a conscience choice or anything, I just forgot! But now seeing them on I agree with my cartoon self. We look weird.
Still no Warror update. I'm working on it.

Sleeping Comic

It's made extra funny for the gamers and I because we all know this would never happen. Currently I am at level 66. Plus the windows side of computer has a virus. It's going to be a while before I can get anywhere near 100.... *sigh*

You asked for it! A new comic!

Cooking Comics

At it again with the comics. My Dad! I learned from the best. My family loves to make fun of his delicious, yet often slightly burnt, dishes. I hope the colours are a little better on this one. My monitors are so different sometimes I get confused.

For those of you who love comics, this Saturday, May 2, is free comic book day! So go to your local comic book store and see what they are giving away this year. I've never been to a free comic book day, but I am looking forward to it.

A Sisterly Comic

As some of you may know, Erin is moving to Vancouver in the fall and thus we have decided to become roommates. I don't know what she's thinking, but I'm always in for a good laugh. I remember some time ago Erin scoffing at the idea of living with me again. So I've been thinking: Which of my mundane habits will likely annoy my sister? And so a comic strip was born. Together Again. This is the first of many annoying mundane habits I have. I love my milk. For the lettering I used a super easy program that came with my mac called Comic Life. I've been waiting for a chance to use it. :)

Frames from Disney's Aladdin

I watched all the disney movies I have over the weekend. Beauty and the Beast remains one of my favorites alongside The Lion King. I love the animation of the beast's face at the end when he's dangling Gaston over the edge. You can see the complete tranformation he makes during the movie in his expression. I also found these frames of Aladdin quite amusing. It makes him look so fluid when you watch it, but so funny when you go frame by frame.

This is the famous Prince Ali greeting his adoring fans. What a guy.
